| What do you mean by best? MacOS X has ZIP built-in as part of the Finder. There are various and sundry RAR utilities available. From where I sit, the "best" is Stuffit Deluxe 2010 is a commercial utility suite that allows you to compress, decompress, and manage archives in various compression formats including .sit, .sitx, .zip, .rar, and various flavors of .zip.
