Keynote and Scriboard not working

I'm using keynote and want to be able to draw on my screen during a presentation. Every review online says that Scriboard is the software to use so I got it. I've tried a few other similar programs but they don't seem to work as good. Anyway, the software works fine on it's own but when I run a presentation in Keynote, I can't access the activate button to get Scriboard to start working. Another mac user I know swears that it works fine on his computer but we can't figure out what the difference is between us. I'm running Snow Leopard and Keynote 08. Is there a way to force a program to stay on top? I know you can do this on Windows, how about the Mac?
