I have an IMac 10.6. EyeTV3 is software for watching tv on the Mac. I don't have cable or satellite on my regular tv. Can I still watch tv with that software on my Mac? http://www.elgato.com/elgato/na/main...oduct1.en.html |

It sounds like you have the eyetv software but not the hardware. You must have the Elgato EyeTV 250 Plus or something similar. I have it and pick up all my local HD over the air broadcasts.

Yes, you can watch it on your iMac 10.6 as long as you have an EyeTV3 and EyeTV Hybrid USB. The Hybrid USB contains a cable port and a wire similar to USB, but it is smaller one which is alike a digital camera's port for example. That wire can be plugged into the Hybrid USB's tiny port for the antenna. Actually, I never tried it before. I believe that the quality will be poor if you use the antenna. I just bought them two weeks ago, and I am just satisfied. I use it for my cable service. (I wish that I would able to watch all the channels on the cable for free.) http://www.elgato.com/elgato/na/main...oduct1.en.html |
