keynote hangs with pdf images!!!!!

I'm in Snow Leopard since some weeks ago, and my keynote (which I use and need A LOT) hangs when I try to paste an image!!!! I heard thath some other users have had this problem. Anybody found a solution???? Please!!! and Thanks!!!!! (from Uruguay)

What version of OS X and what version of Keynote?

So that is from iWork 08'. Im sorry because I have version 5.0.3 and can't replicate the problem.

First lets try to reset the program. Then try to find the files for Keynote (like com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist)and them over to the trash can, but don't empty the Trash Can just yet. Relaunch KeyNote and see if you can replicate the problem.
