Photobooth Flash problem

I love photobooth dont get me wrong but why is it that whenever i have perfect lighting, photobooth uses it's flash to ruin my pictures countless times. If there was a way to turn flash on/off, like a toggle button, I'd find this application perfect. Is it too much to ask for an update that puts a flashtoggle on photobooth?

Turning off the countdown or the flash
If you want to take a snapshot in regular light, you can turn off the flash. If you need to take a snapshot quickly, you can turn off the 3 second countdown. You can also turn off both.

To turn off the countdown or flash:

To turn off the countdown, press the Option key while clicking the Shutter button.

To turn off the flash, press the Shift key while clicking the Shutter button.

To turn off both the countdown and flash, press Option-Shift while clicking the Shutter button.
