Having trouble viewing a live video from website

Before begin, i am novice on mac.

I tried to view a video live from safari and firefox.
the website is : http://entertainment.nepalnews.com/l...agarmatha.html

I get nothing error messages.
I have installed media plug-in perain and fil4mac. I also did the update.

In pc, on IE or firefox, it work very well and this website used windows media player to play this video.

If you can play this video from mac, please let me know the plug-in that you are using.

As I watch and listen everyday this video, i was upset that i wan unable to play this video from mac.

I tried my best...
So PLEASE... PLEASE..... help me ... Cause I do not want to switch to pc for this reason.

By the way, i will not prefer to use virtual machine like vmware fusion and install xp to watch this video.

Do you get anything to show when you try to view it? I get the audio (on a Mac which is on 10.5 with an older version of Flip4Mac.. updating now)
If you select from the video's settings (or from flip4Mac) to open the video directly e.g. with VLC, will that work for you?

No, i get nothing....

i tried with vlc and put the url but does not work.
have you tried on your mac and does it works...

can you tell the step that you takes to come there and able to listen audio

I just open the link in Safari and it starts with audio.

Source shows mms://64.62.166.162./sm which looks odd. Try from VLC, File > Open Network... and paste mms://64.62.166.162/sm - that opens the audio for me.

Or if VLC does not do it, then anything else you'd use for Windows Media Player should do.. Flip4Mac usually. What version of Flip4Mac, VLC, Safari, or Mac OS X do you have?

First of all, i tried the copy paste url as you say with vlc but does not work.
and also tried updating all software and system to make sure it was not the problem.
I buy imac it has been 5 days ago and i still trying to find how i can play this video.

my mac os x version is : 10.6.2
firefox:3.5.6
safari:4.0.4
vlc:1.0.3
flip4mac:2.3.1.2
perain:1.2

if i am able to at least audio i will be happy too and for video maybe later...
