Question Firefox 3 immediately crashes when started

I'm currently running OSX (10.4.11) and have been using Firefox 2 for a while now. I finally got around to downloading and installing Firefox 3, but when I try and start it up it crashes with this error:

    Code:

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.
Can anyone help decipher what's going on, or possible fixes?

    Thanks,

Understand millions of users on numerous platforms[—Mac, Windows, Linux—]happily use Firefox 3.5.7 everyday without a problem. The problem is likely something unique to your system. The fact that you held onto Firefox 2 for an eternity does nothing to explain why Firefox 3 crashes. What would be useful is to know which websites trigger your crashes.

You could also do a few things:

    1. Repair permissions and restart your comp (this fixes 80% of issues on a mac)
    2. Disable all Add ons, maybe one of them is crashing your FF?
    3. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox...uirements.html
Looks like your computer probably satisfies the system requirements. You might consider deleting any old references to Firefox (v.2 preference files, etc.)
