Outlook Vcards to Entourage

I would like to convert my Microsoft Outlook 2000 Vcard contacts to Mac's Entourage 2008 address book.

How would I do this since I have over 1,500 contacts in Outlook, with detailed notes in each Vcard, that I would like to save in Entourage.

however I then need to convert my address book, into an Entourage format using Address Book Exporter 2.1.2

Is there an easier way to convert Outlook Vcards to Entourage, saving notes, categories and general contact information?
