System Prefs & NetInfo slowdown

System Prefs & NetInfo slowdown

Help! Some preference panels (namely, Users and Login, so far)give me the dreaded Pizza of Death for several minutes before allowing me to continue. Once open, each click brings it back for another wait.

NetInfo Manager does the same thing on launch, though once open, it works fine.

Anyone else experience this? Thanks for any advice. FYI, using 10.1.5.
