    USB flashdrive problem

    Hi everyone,
New here, tried to search for this but didn't find much.
I have two new HP 8gb flashdrives (v115w), one works and one doesn't.
The one that doesn't will not even show up on the system profiler.

Is there anything I can do to reset/fix the dud drive?

    System- iBook g4 osx10.5

    Ok, I lied.

Does the USB drive show up on Disk Utility? If so, try reformatting it to Mac OS Extended (HFS) or Max OS Extended (Journaled) (HFS+).

Do you have another comptuer to plug the drive into (PC or Mac)? Or a Bootcamp partition on your Mac?

It's a bad flash drive. Likely nothing that you can do that will fix it.
If it's new - take back to where you purchased it. You should be able to get that replaced.
Serendipity is a lucky guess !
