| Clean Install I may need to reformat my OS X drive and do a clean install....my question is......when installing OS X is it required by the system to have a user defined area (Home) or is it possible to just keep my personal files and folders from the system like the music & movies folders at the root level? This is a personal home computer that only I use and I don't like having to use the "Home" area for my folder and file organization. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |

| No, you don't have to use the Home folder. As long as your the Adminstrator, you can put them at the Root level.

| You might want to change the iTunes music folder to the folder in the root then for ease of use. I don't know if anybody knows how to do it in iMovie and especially iPhoto I would really appreciate it! |
