MacPro shows apple logo, loading bar, then shuts down.

    I have Macbook 5, 1 or A1286 and it's not loading

I downloaded firmware restoration but it did nothing!

I followed the instructions as best I could to use the CDs but it has not worked. The computer sounds like it has taken in the CD and is processing something but then it just stops making noises all together, and goes quiet with just the sleep led on. I have left it for quite some time and still nothing happens.

Something slightly different is that the instructions tell you to expect this:

"Turn on the computer and continue holding the Power button. The sleep LED will blink rapidly, then slowly, then rapidly (3 quick blinks, 3 slow blinks, 3 quick blinks)."

My laptop just does a load of fast blinks and then just goes to a continous light, followed by what i think is the long tone (like a long beep) that you are to expect. Does this mean its not just the firmware update that is a problem?

I tried inserting the cd at different times but still got exactly the same. I tried both cd 13 and 14 just in case it was model 2,1

Help me please! I need it for school.

Also the magsafe light stays orange...the macbook is still charging though.
