page problem?

I have a 24 inch imac with the latest version of firefox and snowleopard. Ebay was working fine, until the other day, when we try to login it comes up with specified page not-responding. It works on the other devices we have in our home, mac and pc still. why might it do this suddenly?

Try 'Safe' booting by holding down shift after the chime. You should see a grey progress bar on boot and you can release shift. This will clear caches and may address your problem.
