| modem does not work in panther My modem does not work on my 17" powerbook after installing panther. It says "cannot open the communication device" everytime i click on connect. The internal modem is checked. It worked once when i rebooted the computer, but then after I restarted again, it no longer worked. Any ideas?  |

| I had that problem sometimes with my iBook and Jaguar. disconnecting and reconnecting the modem cable usually solved it. Also: Try again. And then again. Software modems are jerky, anyway...

| I made various tentatives but failed. I tried to use the modem PowerBook G3 Internal Modem script from 9.2.2 but nothing. Any ideas ? Thanks. Eduardo
