| Panther save as & Default folder X
Does the new Panther Finder do anything like the program Default folder X? Specifically in the area of clicking on an existing file name in the save as dialog and it copying that into the file name field instead of you having to do it yourself. I want to buy this program but I do not want to pay $35 if something similar is coming out in Panther in just a couple months. I would also like to be able to rename, delete, and getinfo from a save as dialog. Can Panther do any of that as well?

The clicking of an existing filename works for me. I've tested it only in TextEdit, but this means that Panther offers the feature. However, the editing of filenames etc. does not from a save/open panel.

thanks for the quick reply. One other question though. When you click in the where drop-down in save as, does it offer better options than Jaguar. It gets confusing as to where to find a folder that I want to save to and I normally have to go to list view to find what I am looking for. I guess I have to do some more thinking before I buy Default Folder X
