iTunes "unexpectedly quits" despite re-installs, preference clearing

Well, the title says it all. iTunes will often "unexpectedly quit" at least a dozen times a day. I tried exporting my library, deleting preferences, reinstalling (4.0.1, and now the problem continues with 4.1)... and still, this thing crashes like crazy!

help! I've repaired permissions too! Any other ideas?

It doesn't matter -- as told to me by an Apple rep. My computer crashed twice on me... HARD crashes that required a complete reformat and reinstall. I spoke with Apple about deauthorizing the two crashed computers that were registered with them, since I was concerned that I had registered 3 times and that was my limit.

They told me it wasn't necessary to deauthorize those computers... that the authorization process came from my .mac username/password (or the username/password I log into iTMS with) and that it would re-authorize my computer when I reloaded it and tried to play an AAC I previously got from the Music Store.

Sure enough, I have re-formatted and re-installed and re-authorized this same computer a total of five times since I signed up at the iTMS, and it's still the only computer authorized as far as I can see.

Thanks for the info ElDiablo, now I won't have to worry on how many machine I can play my Black Eyed Peas song, "Where is the Love?"

Completely wiped every single file I could find relating to iTunes... reinstalled, and didn't import old settings.... hasn't crashed yet, but I lost my play counts. *sigh* Oh well.
