    Unhappy Permission blues

    Hi everyone;
    My computer is a G4 dual 1.4 running osx 2.8. Every time I try to burn a DVD it tells me " The operation cannot be completed because the item "" is in use". Before if I repaired the permissions it would allow me to burn it. Now no matter what I do it give me the same message. Please help!

    Thank you very much

    marcel

    I forgot to add that I drag the files into the DVD image and burn it. I have been doing this for a while with no problems (exept the tedious permission repairs)...until now.

    Have you tried burning from another admin account, or even as root? If it works, it's something in your original account's Library folder (~/Library). If it doesn't work as root, then it's something in the system. That's all I have for ya.

    Also try reparing the OS 9 permissions with Disk Utility found in your utilities folder. Upgrading to OSX totally screwed with my movie library and this fixed my problem.

    I suppose it's the same with CDs (I would give it a try, if you didn't by now).
    Did you try to use different tools as well? There are some shareware tools for burning CDs and DVDs.
    Or did you even try iDVD?
