    How to record streaming audio

Google search results in many PC programs to record streaming audio. Are there any programs for Panther-OS X that do this? Thanks.

Take a look at Audio Hijack Pro. In my opinion the best app for this ever created

    http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18611

And if you don't want to buy this maybe StreamRipper or Wiretap. Just try a search at versiontracker.com for stream.

But AudioHijack is the best for this because it can directly hijack every programms output. You don't have to worry if an other apps audio output "destroys" your sound recording becuase it just hijacks and record the specified app. And you can set timers or DSP effects to make it even sound better

Great! I got it. Now how do I edit a recording? Say I record a radio stream from live365.com. But I don't stop it in time and there is a piece of audio from the next selection that I want to clip off.
    thanks.

Also try RadioLover. It's a great program that you can synchronize with your iCal (I think) to record radio programs at certain times.

This ain't a Windows forum, not to mention that I think the original posters have found their answers -- seeing as how the post is 5 years old.

Well for anyone using this forum for answers can look at these shareware/free applications.

    1. Audio HiJack Pro. If you can Airport Express or another device then look at their [url=http://rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/[/url]. Rogue Amoeba is full of audio applications from audio pros so you can take a look at all their applications.

    2. WireTap

    3. Amadeus Pro . This application for what it does it very well.

    4. FStream for a lightweight radio streaming free application that also can record that radio stream. You can even add any radio station if you know the streaming IP address.

If you want to free download all latest songs you listened online, Try this Streaming Audio Recorder, it is the exact software you need. When the web pages containing songs or other streaming audio are opened, it will auto-detect the streaming audio and capture streaming audio. Online music and radio station are all supported.

If you want to record streaming video, try this streaming video recorder.

You may try audacity or real player on your computer.
