| OS X Backwards Compatible
Hey I am a new Mac User and i was just wondering if anyone knows if Mac OS 9 Software and Games will work on OS X?

Yes, but they will run under something called "Classic" mode. Games will run, but they will run slowly -- applications will run decently. Make sure your Classic environment is installed by going to the "Classic" pane of the System Preferences and verifying that there is a system folder to use Classic with.

Not all OS 9 games will run in the classic environment. If the game attempts to directly access or control the computer hardware, OS X will immediately terminate the classic environment.

The good news is that many games now have an OS X version.
