Offline Browsing Applications??

Could someone share experiences with their favorite Offline Browser Application? I'd like to find a good offline browsing application for use with my G4 iBook (Panther 10.34), for browsing websites offline. I've found quite a few, and have been having difficulty with several of them.

offline browsing? You mean using local html files? What's wrong with safari?

I have used site sucker, and had no problems with that. It loads only static pages though.

These are some of the offline browsers I've tried in the past several days: Blue Crab, GetWeb, PageSucker, WebAssistant, WebDevil, WebDumper, WebCopier. I've also tried iCab 2.9.8, with no luck at all.

WebAssistant really messed up my settings, so bad, that it caused some terrible problem with the DSL/Router connection/settings. WebAssistant required a proxy, which seems to have caused serious connections problems. Actually, could no longer connect at all. Pacbell DSL tech support and D-Links tech support tried to help, but could not get me back online.

Had to exchange the router. Now both computers (PM 7300/500, G4 iBook) are back online with no problems.

I've had some luck with PageSucker, except that many images and also many links don't work. Maybe with the full version (just registered yesterday) I'll have better luck?

Now I need to give Internet Explorer a try for downloading websites for offline browsing.

I'm still wondering why I can't get iCab to download websites for offline browsing. iCab seems to be downloading the websites, but when I try to surf offline, I get all kinds of error messages, basically telling me that I need to connect in order to access those webpages, even after waiting hours for iCab to download the websites.

If you have DSL, you have always connected internet. You do not need an offline browser.

What is cool about DSL is that at a moment's notice you can just go to the computer and browse. No dial up worries. No busy signal worries. You pay a flat rate every month just to have DSL, so use it to your advantage.

Safari is my favorite browser.

I need an offline browser to use with my G4 iBook when I am away from home. That is why I've been trying to figure out how to download websites so I can surf the websites when I am away from home where I cannot connect to the Internet.

Any ideas on good offline browsers to use with the G4 iBook, running OS X 10.3.4 Panther? Thanks.

How do you have your set up? You do need to connect for any browser to grab a web site. Some sites have changing images, which will account for no images showing while you browse offline. And links will not work unless you get them before you go offline.
