Sounds like the installer was corrupted. Try downloading it again.
I'm having problems with Adobe Acrobat to 6.0.1, when it the upgrade gets about half way it stops updating and the following message occurs :
Unknown Error, 11002:2, -14
any help?

this is my third copy of the installer, one from Adobe.com, one through the installer and i just downloaded this one through version tracker.

I have had the same issues with 6.0.1. Probably best to just avoid the update unless it has something you really need. I think even after the error, though, my acrobat now reads 6.0.1.
see the whole thing is my acrobat isnt working at all now, so i'm thinking the update would fix it but its not letting me upgrade or even start Acrobat.Its saying that i have a problem with the language resources but Acrobat is set to english and so is my mac.
if it wasn't for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and GoLive, and Premire i would hate adobe..
