Diskwarrior on Powerbook G4 12" Rev C problems

I'm having trouble running Diskwarrior 3.0 on a Powerbook 12". I've tried to boot it from the CD to run Diskwarrior (hold 'C' after the startup bong), but everytime I do that, it comes up with a message in different languages, saying that I need to restart the computer by pressing the restart button or hold down the power button. I do a restart and it just boots normally, by passing the CD.

Any idea why this is happening? It doesn't happen with my iBook.

Cheryl is on a distinguished road
Use the power adaptor on the PowerBook. You are getting a kernel panic. What other devices do you have connected to the book? disconnect those and try.

You can also insert the CD while the computer is running, go to the Startup Disk Panel in System Preferences. See if the CD is listed there. Then select it and then click on restart.

If you already own DiskWarrior 3 (your CD is gold and white with the image of the DiskWarrior shield on it) AND...

...your current DiskWarrior CD will not start up your Mac, you will need to order an updated CD from Alsoft (a charge will apply) in order to start up your Mac. The DiskWarrior 3.0.1 and original 3.0.2 CDs cannot start up 2004 eMac (USB 2.0), 2004 iBook, 2004 PowerBook, and dual 1.8 GHz and 2.0 GHz Power Mac G5 models. The DiskWarrior 3.0 CD cannot start up the original Power Mac G5 models, PowerBook and iMac models released after September 2003, eMac 1 GHz G4 machines, and iBook G4 machines, in addition to the above machines that the DiskWarrior 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 CDs cannot start up. The updated CD includes DiskWarrior 3.0.2 and will start up from an updated version of Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) that will start up the above Macs.

Here's a quote from the website.

Quote:
DiskWarrior 3.0.2 CD Update

The DiskWarrior 3.0.2 CD Update is a free updater that will allow you to create a new startup disk with the updated DiskWarrior application on it. The updater will not update the version of Mac OS X on your CD. (The CD created by the updater will start up the same Mac models as your original DiskWarrior 3.x CD will.) If you cannot use the update (i.e. you do not have your original DiskWarrior 3 CD, a Macintosh computer running Mac OS X 10.2.1 or later, or a CD burner, etc.), you will need to purchase an update CD. For ordering information, please review the preceding paragraph.
Does that mean that even after running the updater, I wll not be able to boot up my Powerbook from the Diskwarrior CD?
