digital pics with isight

could i ask u if u know of any software that i can use to take digital pics with isight.

There are at least two ways.

1) Open iMovie. Record a short peice of the item you want. Then use iMovie to create a still from the movie. Then export it to you favourite graphics app.

2) Using iChat click on your icon at the top of the Buddy List and use the "take a Snapshot" option. This pic is held in ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.ichat.pictures.

i did take a still pic with i movie, and i tried to open the file with i photo and fireworks, but no luck, any other apps u might know of to edit the pic, and save it as jpeg?

In iMovie, mouse up to the File menu, click it and select "Save Frame As".

That will save the frame as a jpeg.

Grab Photos is exactly what you want. It'll take a still picture with iSight and save it as a jpeg.
