| Tiger upgrade on dual 2.5Ghz G5, multiapps For the record, I just upgraded to Tiger on a dual 2.5Ghz G5 (4GB RAM, Nvideo GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL, Mathias Tactile Pro keyboard, external firewire drives attached during upgrade) with many third party apps pre-installed on the G5. I backed up first, repaired permissions, and then enjoyed an upgrade to Tiger which was swift and without any adverse error messages. I am finding performance is faster and all my applications, so far, work fine. I have the full backup, of course, ready to revert to if I find something ugly unexpectedly. But all omens are positive so far. Best, Jason Romney, www.netvideo.com.au |
