no trash in mail 10.4

Just did a clean install of 10.4. There is no trash icon in mail. On my mini there is. How do I get the trash icone back?

I had this same problem and couldn't figure out why it wasn't appearing, then I tried deleting something and still nothing happened... I then put the application on "hide" and when I came back two minutes later after complaining about the missing icon, it had appeared by itself. So either trying to delete something and waiting or just waiting appears the only options so far. Hope that helps mate!

that's annoying... I don't understand why there would be no trash icon... anyone have any other ideas?

now my 3 macs have synced up, and now none of them have a trash icon... anyone have any ideas?

Try checking the mailbox behaviors for each of your accounts. I noticed that Mail 2 changed the preference for my IMAP mailboxes to store deleted messages on the server and thus I was not seeing the trash icon.

I got the same problem. OSX 10.4.2 fresh install on 2 macs. on one mac the trash icon is gone... on the other its there... looked at pop and imap... just pop accounts.

Same problem... seems like a wierd bug... Hope it will be fixed soon.
