Attachments in Mail.app

None of the attachments I send from my Work machine (Win 2k) are extractable in the Mail.app. Eudora, outlook express, hell every other email client just knows that there are attachments and lets me extract them. What's up with the built in Mail app?

Is this a known problem? Anyone know if it's fixed in 10.1?

i've recieved a few images thru the built in app and some have worked ok and some havent. they got converted to .dat ????

Is Mail presenting an "unable to extract attachment" error message? And can you save the attachment by control-clicking (and then open it from Finder)?

If that's what you're getting, I have bugreported it to Apple, Bug ID # 3085826

BTW, is your ~/ home folder on a local disk, or on a server?
