Question Easy way to kill & restart a program?

I have a program that I need to use but it seems to have a memory leak (when running for several days the #MREGS in top goes way over 1,000 when it is normally about 100 for this program) and the Mac slows down with LOTS of paging out. Killing the program and restarting it speeds things back up again!

I would like to set a cron job to kill and restart the program (say) every day....does somebody have some scripts or suggestions on how to do this easily?
