| How do I log in as ROOT? Hello, I wat to log on as root so I can use the gui to do root things, but when I type in:
I've tried assigning root a new password in NetInfo Manager, and still get the same result. How do I log in as root, and what is the default root password? Thanks in advance, Bernie :o)

| The steps you have sound right, but obviously something is missing. 1. in net info manager domain menu select security, does it say as one of the options "disable root user". If it does good the root user is anabled. If it does not you must enable the root user 2. try authenticating as root and see if it allows you to do so. |
