Apple Airport Extreme With Linksys G Pci Adapter

I have several Apple computers in my home configured to use wireless through Airport Extreme. I am now trying to add a Dell PC, by installing the Linksys WMP54G card. The computer seems to detect the base station and tries to get access but it won't actually connect. I have used the equivalent WEP key the base station suggests and that seems to be allowing the connection to start, but it never actually connects. Can you help me with this?
