Issue with HP 4215

I need some assistance please.

I have an HP Officejet 4215 printer connected via USB to a PC (Win XP SP 2). I also have another PC and a Powerbook G4 connected to my wireless home network.

Documents print fine from both the the PCs (direct and networked) to the HP printer. My problem is with the Mac.

I read in these archives that to network the Officejet to a MAC that you need to install hpijs and ESP Ghostscript- which I did.

Once I installed, I was able to see and select the HP 4200 printer in the Mac printer set-up.

When click I print, it spools up my on my PC server to 64kb and then just stops. No matter how many times I try this or options I select, it only spools to 64kb and stops.

Please email to mpgartland@sbcglobal.net or respond here.

I deeply appreciate your suggestions.

The driver provided by HP is for USB only. You need a CUPS driver for network/Windows printing. Install hpijs and ESP ghostscript from:
http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/hpijs/

Follow the guide(s) here:
