Wireless Network

I am trying to set up my iMac G5 so I can access the internet with my Windows PC laptop. I access the internet with my iMac with a DSL connection. My laptop is brand new, wireless ready and worked perfectly with wireless connections on a recent business trip.

In trying to use the laptop at home I can see the network from the Mac but cannot connect to it successfully. It requires a "network key" aka WEP or WPA key. I know there must be some settings I need to make somewhere on my iMac but don't know how to go about doing that.

I would appreciate if someone could give me some direction here. Thanks.

Michael

Your network at home is set up with a security code. You need to go to the computer your dsl router is on and enter the set up mode of the router. You do this by entering your router IP address in the address bar of internet explorer. This will bring you to your router set up page. You should be able to see what the code is, it will be a code that looks like, i.e. 4d 55 66 78, or something like that. You need to enter this into your the network key.
