| Networking with a PC network + File server
I am a complete mac newbie, and honestly I feel like my grandmother for all I know how to do on this machine... but anyway, I'm trying to integrate with the Windows network that is already running. There are multiple Windows machines and a fileserver by snap server. I'm wanting to map network drives just like in Windows and connect to the HP Laserjet on one of them and I have no clue how to do this... EDIT: Got the Snap Server to work... turns out it has Apple Networking protocols on it... Now I need to network with the windows compys as well as access their printers. Can anyone help me?? Thanks Kevin Last edited by CaptainSKA; December 19th, 2005 at 02:49 PM. |

To be able to access the printers connected to the Windows machines, you need to install the network service "Unix print services" which you can do through the Network control panel. To connect to the windows compies, go to the Go-->Connect to Server ... option on the mac's Finder.
