Does your Mac mini not have wireless networking built-in? Wireless USB adaptors tend to be pretty flaky under Mac OS X...
Hello,
I am having a huge problem with my mac mini. The only way I can use it for internet is by going wireless. I use a dlink router with a USB wireless adapter. Now the problem is when I go wireless with the mac mini it freezes after about 2 minutes. But when I go hard wire with it, it works fine. I called Apple and we reinstalled everything and did all the fancy tests they do. I called Dlink (the router manufactuer) and they said nothing was wrong with the router because i have 2 other Windows PC's connected to it wirelessly. This problem is really irritating me, please help.
Thank you,
Chris

No I didnt want to pay $100 for built in wireless cause I had a dlink dongle i was using. And I think the dlink dongle is the problem.......not sure though.
Are you sure that this USB wifi interface is supported under Mac OS X? What model D-Link USB wifi interface is it exactly?
• Apple iMac G5 17" (2 GHz G5) - Mac OS X 10.5.8/Ubuntu 10.04
• Asus Eee PC 901 (1.6 GHz Atom N270) - Fedora 13
• Apple Macintosh Quadra 650 (33 MHz MC68040) - Mac OS 8.1
• "JHVH-1" (2 GHz AMD Athlon XP 2400+) - Slackware 13.1
Yea its a DWL-122 and the cd that came with it had all the Mac drivers for it. I've heard rumors that USB dongles suck on a Mac......true?
