    Wireless router/cable modem

Anybody know of a one-box solution that works with OS X?

    Thanks,

This looks like a possible solution. http://broadband.motorola.com/consum...oducts/sbg900/

Not sure wheter it works with a Mac or not, should, since I can't think of much that would cause it not to work...

Whatever you do, don't end up with a Scientific Atlanta WebSTAR Cable Mode/Wireless in one. They are terrible.

EDIT: It states, works with Windows 95/98/NT/ME/XP, Mac OS 8 or higher, and Unix.

Be sure to check with your cable provider that it's supported. Time Warner supports it here.

From what I see it should work,
    Computer --------
    17in. iMac G5 | 1.9Ghz | OS X 10.5.1
    1.5GB RAM | Built-in iSight
    160GB HD | SuperDrive

Linksys also makes a router modem all in one option, Most of the new modem are docis 2 compatable and will do the old 1.1 docis also. You should not have any issues with the Mortrola or Linksys with your high speed conection and your mac. Only issue I know of Mac and Linksys do not do wep together. I had to update to new linksys that could do wpa and everything works fine.

The best router by far is the Draytek 2800v, supports ADSL/ADSL2, good wirless range, and Nat,QoS, VPN and lots of extra's, very good firware updates. I've used Draytek and can highly recommend them. Works fine with any OS. check out the price at

    dsl-warehouse.com

    good hunting.
