Question VPN issues not tunneling properly and give you no DNS

I have setup OpenSSL and OpenVPN. Once I get it going I can ssh only by IP and not dns.

I have a powermac G5 w/ Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.

I have ubuntu on my laptop and when I do this it works fine.

I do modify the resolv.conf so it reflects my search results and nameserver information.

Does the mac resolv.conf not configure the same search info?... I have installed djbdns for a caching system but it doesn't seem to work correctly regardless

When I do netstat -r it hows my tun0 and it shows all the networks that were added by connecting to the vpn tunnel.

Is there something I am missing?
