Allowing a mac on a wirless network

I have just bought a macbook and I'm trying to get it set up on my home wireless network. The macbook side of things works beautifully until I'm told that I can't connect because the network uses an access control list. This is because all the software for the connection is on my PC running windows.

The obvious solution would seem to be to either add my mac to the AC list or just make my network open, but I can't find the right options on the PC. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do?

The access control list will be on the wireless base station, not the PC. You need to get into the administrative console of the base station, probably through a web browser, and make the changes there.
