| invisible network i'm new to this mac thing and recently invested in a macbook - i'm now a windows convert but still finding a few things puzzling. after a few hours on my macbook i had already connected it to my wireless network and could visit network places within my own workgroup, but things started to change????? firstly the network icon disappeared from the left pane of the finder jingamahoos and was only accessable through the my computer icon, when i clicked on the network icon, it would display servers and network places. now whenever i click on the network icon - it does nothing. the only way i can currently access my network places is by going into the recent items doohicky (apple icon > recent items), but this will only access the recent items retained. is there a way of getting back the network places? macnewb - gazza |
