| retrieving mail and signing in mac messenger
i am on the network at my school and i cant retrieve any mail from Gmail in Mac Mail, it says "connection to server timed out on port 995". Also mac messenger wont sign in , saying "incorrect password or sign in". However I can go online and browse,and log on to both gmail and hotmail. Is there any way to configure them to work at school? Or is it a problem with the school server? thanks for any help  |

Seems as though the school is filtering access to IM protocols and web mail accounts. I work for a school as well and our district is doing the same thing.
