Logon a root user over a network? Synchronize Pro

Hi all

Just purchased Synchronize Pro and am having a few difficulties...no reponse from their support system yet so I thought I'd ask here.

I'm trying to create a 'Bootable Backup' from Mac 1 to a firewire drive on Mac 2 over ethernet. Synchronize Pro states I should enable 'root user' on Mac 1 and logon as 'root user'...try as I might I can't get this to work. I'm now wondering if it is actually possible to logon as 'root user' across a network.

Any help appreciated.

Regards

Pat
