| sharing itunes folder on an NT network
I work in an office with a pretty large NT network, on a domain. I am trying to share a single folder, ITunes music, so that my co-workers can access my mp3's. I've tried to create a user, and then give him permission to that folder. I've also gone into Directory access, and configured it to point to the domain. I can browse the whole network, access and copy files, and print to local and network printers. I can do everything I want to do from the Mac side. From the PC side, I can log in as that new user I've created, and I see all the folders in the Home directory but no files within them. I did a "get info" on the Itunes folder, and gave full permission to the new user I created, I even put an Itunes folder shortcut in the Public folder on that new user's account, but it doesnt show up when I connect on the network. What am I doing wrong here?

Panetone, what permissions are you using on your public folder? It sounds like that may be the issue here. It works wierd for me crossing platforms. Are you using 10.2? And which version (build) of NT? |
