| Problems with connecting to secure wireless router using 128 bit hex WEP key. I have two machines in the office: MacMini running 10.4.7 MacBookPro running 10.4.10 Whilst I had no problem connecting the MacMini to the Netopia router using a 128 bit hex WEP key, the MacBook Pro refuses to do so with the message: 'There was an error joining the AirPort network "MFSW"' I can confirm that the MacBook Pro will connect to the router on disabling the security. I initialised and re-installed the OS from scratch thinking that there may have been a corrupt element within the OS. Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be gratefully recieved. With kind regards Victor. |

| Is there Mac filtering enabled on the router? Try reentering the WEP information into the MacMini to double check that the code hasn't been mixed up. I find that if I write down the key instead of typing it, i won't get it right.
