Problems with connecting to secure wireless router using 128 bit hex WEP key.

I have two machines in the office:
MacMini running 10.4.7
MacBookPro running 10.4.10

Whilst I had no problem connecting the MacMini to the Netopia router using a 128 bit hex WEP key, the MacBook Pro refuses to do so with the message: 'There was an error joining the AirPort network "MFSW"'

I can confirm that the MacBook Pro will connect to the router on disabling the security.

I initialised and re-installed the OS from scratch thinking that there may have been a corrupt element within the OS.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be gratefully recieved.

With kind regards

Victor.

Is there Mac filtering enabled on the router? Try reentering the WEP information into the MacMini to double check that the code hasn't been mixed up. I find that if I write down the key instead of typing it, i won't get it right.
