Dread Not. The Mac comes with a good Samba manual installed.

I found this hint at this site.

Hey Satcomer, I am unable to find the SAMBA manual you linked to in your above message. Do you know why this might be? I am pretty sure that the link you gave above is correct, because I recall attempting to locate this manual before and encountering the same result. If, as i suspect, the manual is not present on my machine, I'm wondering what other manuals I might be missing out on,... Perhaps, it's on the OSX CD? Anyway, please anyone let me know if you have any idea/hypothesis why its not available on PowerBook G4 800 DVI (os X.2.4)

It's on mine. Perhaps it's installed with the Developer Tools?

Itman: what version of Mac Os X are you using? Are you able to ping the Samba/Linux server okay? Does it show up in the "Connect to Server" dialog at all?

You might be able to connect by going "Go - Connect to Server" and entering:

    smb://serverIPaddress/
    - iMac G5 1.8GHZ 17" | SuperDrive | 160GB | 512MB | Airport Extreme | Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse | Wacom Intuos II
    - Pentax *ist DL - JVC MiniDV Camcorder - Airport Express - iPod Nano 1gb white
