| Using Ethernet Bridge - no connectivity I am trying to use Bridged Ethernet because I read that the default Sharing setting does not allow the remote network station (in my case a laptop PC) to see the host files. I want my laptop to be able to access the files in my Parallels XP installation. The shared internet works fine on the laptop, but I cannot see any shared files, in either direction. I have turned off all firewalls, but still no luck. Any suggestions where to look for answers in my setup? |

| How is your network setup? Please list machines in the order from which your internal network is setup. This way we can get a better understanding of your problem.

| I finally figured it out. Searching for the computer (and the printer) by name from the laptop turned out to be the key. Thanks for the help. |
