Wireless connection problem

I just bought Mac book pro with mac os x leopard and have problem connecting to internet. I use netgear router and wireless connection. The computer is connected to the router but I can't open any site. It says "Safari cant open the page... because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection,...."

I also installed windows xp. Everything works fine unless the internet.

Any suggestion please

Are you sure your wireless connection to the router is working. Can you reach the configuration page of your router with safari?
