| sharing via wire vs wifi connecting wifi from my G4 pbook running Tiger at home office, to MacPro running Leo, instantaneous. Connecting via ethernet or firewire, forever. Even when trying to "connect as..." WiFi transfer, slow. Firewire transfer, fast. has anyone an idea what I might change to connect faster with wire? |

| Could the order of arrangement of network devices in the "Network" pane of the System Preferences be the culprit? Try ordering the ethernet port above the AirPort and see if that helps. Also, what protocol are you using to connect -- SMB, AFP, FTP?

| I was opening the "network" with Cmd-shift-K and have found the computer there. Then I get the spinning gear in the lower right corner of the window for a number of minutes before I get any other options. |
