Entourage Help

I need help with sending from Entourage 2004

I am running OS X 10.4.11 I do not have a .mac account. I set up Entourage with the following protocols using Gmail.

Account ID: xxxxx@gmail.com
POP server: pop.gmail.com
Password: ssssss
Selected POP requires a secure connection port is set to 995

SMTP server: smpt.gmail.com // Overide default SMTP port: 587

My problem is I can receive, but not send in Entourage. I keep getting the message to check DNS servers.

Any thoughts.

I have it working now. It helps to not invert the pt.
