Lost my Ethernet Printer

Does anyone know a reason why my Ethernet Printer (HP laserjet 2840) would disappear overnight when it's been perfect for the last 12 months? I'm using OSX3.9. I've tried manual connection by typing in the IP address but still no luck. fyi it works fine via USB but not good for network.

This may happen after your network has gone down. Without knowing more about how you have your network configured, this is my best guess.

Power the printer of, wait a few minutes and turn it on.

Also check the IP settings in the printer network menu.

Try the ping option to the printer.

Good luck, Kees
