Sharing 802.11 with a crossover cable connected IP Phone

For work, I've started using a VOIP phone (Cisco 7960). The phone requires some port forwarding, and works fine if I plug it directly into the router (Netgear MR814).

However, I would like to be able to connect the phone to my powerbook via a crossover cable, and use the wireless connection to the internet. This means the setup would be::

[DSL Modem] --Ethernet-- [MR814] --802.11b-- [powerbook] --Crossover Cable-- [Cisco 7960]

The router is using a 192.168.1 IP range, the powerbook is 192.168.1.2

Basically, I need to know where to start. I've searched around the forum a bit, but can't seem to find something that points me in the proper direction.

Currently I see two options:

1) Somehow get the wireless router to see the Cisco Phone (which has it's own IP address, etc). This seems like it would be the easiest.

2) Have the ports for the phone forwarded to the powerbook, which then forwards along the data to the phone. And then somehow, the phone is able to send data out as well.

I don't want to get a wireless-ethernet bridge, as that shouldn't be necessary, and it seems like cheating.

Any tips, pointers, or suggestions would be very welcome.
