Question VNC and SSH

Hello everyone,

I would like to be able to access my mac in my office using a VNC software and my mac at home.
I log on the universtity network through VPN and I am able to ssh on the computer in the office but here is my problem : I don't know if the mac at the office is configured to accept screen sharing and even if a VNC server is installed and since I will not be able to go to the office in the next few days I was wondering :

1) How to check/change the sharing propreties through the ssh terminal (I assume that I have the same permissions as if I were really in front of my office mac, correct ?)

2) How to install remotely a VNC server program and how to configure it in order for me to acess the screen of my office mac from home.

I guess the real difficulty is that I cannot go on my office computer and that all these steps have to be done from my home.

Is it even possible ?

Can you help me ?

Thanks a lot
